In prior years I did my own home workouts, but I’d plateaued and wanted something different. I was recommended to try F.I.T. and am so happy I did. I love the way they’ve created a custom program for my personal fitness goals, and every 6 weeks they create a new version with new exercises to keep things fresh and fun, and I’m learning so much. The guidance and support of the coaches and other members is great, and I feel motivated to continue by the environment and energy at the gym. In the past I was hesitant to spend the money for a gym membership, thinking I can just do it on my own, but I’ve found the money is well worth it - especially given the physical and mental benefits I’m experiencing. I’m so happy I made the decision to join the F.IT. community.

Simply put, with F.I.T. and specifically Matt’s help, I achieved my goal of regaining mobility and strength in my knee after an injury, which I struggled unsuccessfully with for many months on my own. I love working out at F.I.T.! The guidance from Matt’s personal training programs and instruction from all the trainers has improved my fitness in many ways. It is motivating and challenging. I appreciate that exercises are tailored specifically for my abilities, even while recovering from my knee injury. My routines change frequently which keeps things fresh and interesting. I have had a chance to do both the personal performance training as well as the advanced performance training classes and I could not be happier with this gym. Jared was easily able to pick up on my past injuries and current muscular imbalances during my first fitness assessment. He then made a workout plan geared specifically towards my individual fitness goals with necessary modifications. Each coach is great to work with and engages with me to help improve form and push me during each session.
FIT does an amazing job of creating an atmosphere that invites people of all fitness levels and ages to challenge themselves. If you are wanting to become a stronger athlete in your sport, recover from an injury, or just get in shape... this is your gym!

I started on my FIT program about 4 months ago, and I couldn’t be happier! I’m a mountain and road biker, so I maintain a good level of fitness, but I’ve never done any kind of weight training before or had a personal trainer, so it has been a challenge in that it is all new. The coaches have helped me progress through my programs with patient, persistent instruction and plenty of encouragement. I came in with some shoulder issues and then injured my knee outside of the gym. Coach Sam was able to design my program so I could keep going through the healing process and make progress while avoiding any injury aggravation. I am now pretty much healed and I am feeling the results of my work as I begin the warm season of bicycling. Many Thanks to my team of coaches, they care about what they are doing, and it shows.

I’ve been a member at FIT for 7.5 years, and I can’t say enough about this gym. It’s a total body experience. You get crazy effective workouts tailored to your needs, as well as a workout family that helps keep you accountable and enjoying your time while working hard. The trainers get to know you and support you while pushing you to achieve your goals. The other members become your friends. There’s no judgement here. We are a group of individuals that welcome everyone, all shapes and sizes, all ability levels, and almost all ages (teens and adults). This community truly is a happy place for me, even when I’m beyond tired from teaching teenagers all day. You’ll leave each session feeling stronger, healthier and happier….and you’ll probably laugh a few times while lifting those heavy weights. Give FIT a try, you won’t regret it.

I have been a member at FIT for just over two years. What I thought I was joining was just another gym, what I quickly learned is that FIT is SO much more than that. I was a self-proclaimed cardio queen and rarely lifted weights. Coming to FIT has taught me so much about myself and my workouts. The trainers and members make the gym a family - I can honestly say that working out is the best part of my day and going to the gym is something I look forward to. Great members and amazing trainers that push you beyond your potential. We work hard but laugh and have a lot of fun. I experienced a very difficult year personally and had it not been for FIT and the positive outlet it provided, I don't know where I'd be.

I have been a member of FIT for 9 months. The combination of weight and cardio training has increased not only my strength but also endurance. On a recent uphill 17 mile bike ride in 92 degree weather, I performed beyond my expectations and kept up with men 20 years younger than myself. I have also noticed an improvement in my ability to perform everyday activities. The outstanding coaches are very knowledgeable and exercising in a group setting increases my motivation.
The other big factor is they vary the training. Many times I have started a workout routine only to get bored and quit. FIT warmup, cardio and station training vary while core strength training rotates on a 6 week schedule keeping the workouts fresh and interesting.

I have never been someone who has gone to a “gym”. I have now been at FIT for 7 months, 3 times a week. I was a runner, now a road biker and have had years of weak shoulders that occasionally hurt to sleep on wrong. I am a
skinny long distance runner type essentially. I have been so pleased with the supportive coaching and guidance I’ve received here, allowing me to build strength without injury. I enjoy the way my body looks and feels, more solid feeling and muscular in the upper body and shoulders than I have ever been in my life, now at age 57. My shoulders don’t hurt to sleep on anymore. I would have laughed if someone had asked would I be going to the gym 3 times a week a year ago, but now I look forward to see what I can do next and how I will feel after the next program written for me. My husband and I have trained here consistently for the last 3 years (even through Covid FIT provided great virtual options!) FIT coaches also worked with my son on a personal program to help with his running goals. The coaches are very knowledgeable and motivating and FUN! They make strength training at a gym very approachable, especially if you’ve never done this type of conditioning before (that was me.) As I get older I appreciate more and more how proper strength training will help to prevent injury and enhance vitality. Having been at FIT for now about SIX years, words do not do justice to this facility and its people! The training is precise, safe, and focused on each individual. The staff care about you has humans AND athletes, and get to know everyone. I have progressed through the various class types, up to Olympic Lifting - something I NEVER would have thought to have tried, but the coaches and members are so supportive and encouraging, that you feel empowered to try something new, set new goals and then crush them!
What never ceases to amaze me about the workouts is how they continue to challenge you in new and different ways. There is ZERO gym boredom or repetitiveness in the programs and exercises, and your progress is noticeable with each week!

This is my first experienced in a group-workout-oriented gym. I've been going for over a year now and I can't believe how much I enjoy the trainers and other members at the facility. The classes are great for all levels as each exercise has multiple variations that give you more challenge as you progress. The focus here is truly on an all-encompassing healthy lifestyle. Jared and the rest of the trainers are very knowledgeable about strength training, weight loss, healthy eating, and good habit-forming routines. They're available before, during, and after sessions and are great about answering questions via social media or their training app. All in all, I can't recommend this gym enough!

I joined FIT over 2 years ago and would like to thank everyone for my journey to date. The environment is welcoming and people of all ages and fitness levels work out side by side. Its great ! The 7am class has become my spot. My primary coach Sam has been able to get to know me and work with me on a program that fits exactly with my goals while making modifications anytime that Boomer age group issues come up. My strength gains and overall fitness has set me up for some great, active golden years.

I've been coming to FIT for 7 months now and have made a ton of progress.
This is my first experience with barbell training and it's been enlightening. I've found that I'm weak in areas where I thought I was strong and vice versa. The weight on the bar doesn't lie or deceive. I like that kind of solid feedback.
All the trainers are fantastic. I've been primarily working with Luke who has been very patient providing explanations for the minutiae of the exercises. He's also been great at modifying exercises so my extremely inflexible 53 year old body can still do them. We're working on the inflexible part too.
I'd never do this on my own. The accountability to Luke and the group training atmosphere have been key factors in the successes I've achieved. I highly recommend FIT to anyone who wants to get stronger, no matter where you're at now.

For the past three months, I've worked with Coach Sam at FIT. I have been impressed with his expertise and patience in addressing my right knee issues and improving my overall mobility, strength and confidence. I have been at FIT for 6+ years. The thing that I love most about FIT is its inclusivity and friendly atmosphere. I enjoy the coaches' knowledge and encouragement, and the education they provide (nutrition, kinesiology, sleep, recovery). I greatly appreciate how FIT modified their business plan during the COVID lockdown, making sure we had the resources for home workouts by loaning their equipment to all members. The live Zoom workouts were hard, and kept me on my workout schedule during the pandemic. Transitioning back into the in-gym workouts was easy, and safe. The biggest change I have seen in me is my increase in strength and muscle tone, and a decrease in body fat. FIT is like a group of really great friends, or close family. There is no judgement, there is no shaming, there is only hard work (very hard), great laughter, and always something to leave the gym happy about.

I’m a dedicated (and occasionally competitive) cyclist but as I’ve gotten older, old injuries and repetitive motion on a bike have caught up with me. I decided to try to diversify my activity with weight training and did a ton of research, and tried many intro classes, and finally settled on Functional Integrated Training. I’m so pleased with my decision. The trainers are knowledgeable, friendly, available, low key, and responsive to exactly where I am and what I’m looking for. The gym is airy and not fussy, Coach Shawn is rad and motivating, and the classes are easy to show up for (I even almost look forward to them). Never thought I’d be lifting weights regularly but I feel so much better on a bike these days and very highly recommend this gym to endurance athletes who are looking to supplement their sport, or anyone interested in a regular weight routine!

You won't find another gym like FIT. The business model gives you all of the attention of personal training at a fraction of the cost. The programming is designed for athletes of all abilities. Coaches are always there to answer questions, modify your workout and motivate you to crush. There is a nice blend of technical barbell work (squat, bench, deadlift etc.) as well as workouts that incorporate sand bags and sleds. The culture at FIT is awesome. There are no meatheads and it has a welcoming and friendly feel to it. All of the coaches are passionate about what they do and practice what they preach and care about your development, health and safety. Don't do Crossfit. DO FIT.

I started at FIT in 2022 after many years of going without any structured fitness routine. I knew from the first assessment that FIT knew what they were doing. Soon I couldn’t wait to be in the gym 3x a week with their personal training program, tailored to first getting me familiar with functional movement and then evolving to being tailored specifically to movement and strength I wanted to develop. The friendly, phone-less atmosphere made it easy to focus and connect with other members and coaches; I looked forward to my sessions and I saw changes in my strength, mobility, and physical appearance in no time. I’ll really miss the environment here as I move to a new city, but am feeling so empowered to continue my fitness journey with newfound skills and confidence in any gym! Special shout outs to coaches Shawn, Sam, and Matt for keeping it fun and always pushing me to try new things!

I’m sad to be leaving FIT soon, and it’s only because the commute from the West Coast would be hard. After having my first child, this gym was the perfect re-introduction for me to work on form and build strength back up. They encourage and support you in challenging yourself but never pressure you to up the intensity. The small group personal training classes were easy to schedule around my workday with both evening and morning options available. Every coach I worked with had helpful perspective and they worked together as a team fabulously. Simple, focused, and effective all while keeping a positive energy — I haven’t found anything quite like it anywhere else!

I was miserable from a back injury 25 yrs ago that flared up during our 3 month car trip throughout west USA. I knew I had to get back to the gym after being sedentary but I didn’t want to re-injure myself as I had in the past many times. I came across FIT and thought it was costly but I have got to get great help and I have to commit to going regularly. It has now been 6 months And I have gone from twice daily CBD use, chronic pain, frailty to a 69 year old with strength, better balance, confidence and finally relief from pain! The 1 on 1 training has been a God-send, they have kept me on a steady path of improvement through a variety of exercises so that I don’t overwork an area, use good form and don’t get bored then quit. FIT for life, much better/cheaper than a care facility, hospital visits, CBD, PT docs and fear of falling !! Thank you FIT trainers!!!

I started working out at FIT in 2018 in the personal training program, and the individualized programming was especially helpful to get me back to full strength after a bout of knee surgeries. I now train as part of the West Madison Weightlifting team. I really appreciate the Olympic lifting specific programming and guidance from Coach Max. WMW and FIT are welcoming to any skill level. It’s fun to train with teammates and push for new PRs! I just competed in my third sanctioned weightlifting meet and hit an 11kg total meet PR! It’s pretty cool that I am now in my 30s and am just as strong, if not stronger than I was as a collegiate athlete in my 20s.

I joined the FIT family this past fall with a simple goal in mind- to increase my strength and endurance for a ski trip in January. I knew a 4 day trip out west would be challenging and I wanted to be ready. I have just returned from my trip and the training I have done over the past 4 months paid off! I was in excellent condition and never needed a rest break. Beyond training for the trip, the FIT program has made me happy in my body again. Learning new strength exercises and then continuing to build strength each week has been empowering and exciting. I have now set longer term goals and look forward to working to achieve them. The coaches at FIT listen to your requests and help find the right exercises for your body. They also adjust their coaching to match your individual preference. I am glad to have found this gym and look forward to continuing my fitness journey.

I have been training at FIT for about three months. I previously trained with weights from my late teens to my early 30s, primarily working alone. When I returned to weight training this past summer, I experienced the same struggles as I had previously: some muscle groups were relatively easy to see gains while others never seemed to advance. Max, Sam and Jared are invested in my fitness goals (improving functional strength while fixing muscle strength imbalances.) I am most impressed by the efficient training programs Max has developed for me. I no longer find weight training to be grueling and boring. My workouts are smarter and provide obvious results. Most importantly, I feel great!
